Wat u niet weet, is dat Brazili\u00eb zich specialiseert in de egiodola-druif, die goed groeit in verschillende regio&#8217;s in het zuiden van het land en al decennialang wordt genoten door zowel lokale bewoners als bezoekers.<\/p><p>Egiodola staat ook bekend om zijn aangename rustieke eigenschappen en pruimen- en braamtonen. Een handvol ros\u00e9wijnen wordt ook gemaakt van de vari\u00ebteit, met lichtere, rode bessentonen. De egiodola-druif heeft een lange en interessante geschiedenis en is een goede mengvari\u00ebteit geworden voor wijnculturen. Hoewel het voor de casual wijndrinker misschien intimiderend kan zijn, is het met een beetje kennis en verkenning gemakkelijk om de unieke smaken van de interessante drank gemaakt van egiodola te ontdekken en waarderen.<\/p><p>GESCHIEDENIS VAN DE EGIODOLA DRUIF<\/p><p>De Egiodola-druif is een donkere druivensoort die wordt gebruikt bij de productie van rode en ros\u00e9wijnen en is oorspronkelijk een kruising van Fer Servadou en Abouriou, gemaakt door druivenonderzoeker Pierre Marcel Durquety van het Franse Nationale Instituut voor Agronomisch Onderzoek (INRA) in Bordeaux. Meer recente DNA-analyse heeft echter de ware afkomst aangetoond als Abouriou en Tinta Negra Mole.<\/p><p>Er zijn enkele vari\u00ebteitvoorbeelden onder de regionale IGP-titels, en producenten in Brazili\u00eb experimenteren ook met de vari\u00ebteit, waar deze al een tijdje wordt geteeld en gebruikt om wijn te maken.<\/p><p>De naam van de vari\u00ebteit betekent &#8220;zuiver bloed&#8221; in de Baskische taal en verwijst naar de diepe, sanguine kleur van zijn wijnen.<\/p><p>Egiodola is rijk aan polyfenolen, wat betekent dat de resulterende wijn serieuze (en soms overheersende) tannines heeft, vandaar de toepassing als mengvari\u00ebteit. De lichte en verfrissende smaken van de wijn passen goed bij een verscheidenheid aan gerechten, van sterke kazen tot gegrild vlees. De braamtonen van de wijn kunnen ook worden aangevuld met romige kazen, terwijl de aardse tonen in evenwicht kunnen worden gebracht door rijkere gerechten zoals wildpaddestoelenrag\u00f9.<\/p><p>Egiodola-wijnen passen ook goed bij de Braziliaanse keuken.
