Surprise your guests with this absolutely delicious dessert!
Ingredients
750ml of a good sparkling wine
250ml strained orange juice
200g sugar
8 not very ripe pears
Vanilla pods (you can also use vanilla essence)
Cinnamon stick
Directions
Wash and dry the pears. Then, peel them.
Using a knife, cut off both ends of the fava bean and cut it in half lengthways. With the tip of the knife or a small spoon, scrape the fava bean without applying too much pressure, removing the tiny seeds. They are the ones that will add flavor to your recipe.
In a pan, pour the sparkling wine, the orange juice, the sugar, the cinnamon stick, the vanilla bean and its seeds, according to your taste.
Place over medium heat. As soon as it boils, add the pears and leave it for 45 minutes.
When time is up, remove the pears and let the juices cook a bit more to gain texture.
Arrange the pears in a plate and drizzle them with the juice, decorating with the vanilla bean. You can also serve the pears with English cream. Serve.
