During our visit to Vale dos Vinhedos our next stop is at Pizzato Vinhas e Vinhos winery. The Pizzato wines received a very positive response from the participants on the tasting we organized back in The Netherlands. Here you drink quality and feel the finesse and delicacy of the winemaker in the glass of wine.
The story of PIZZATO Vinhas e Vinhos starts at the end of the 1800’s with the immigration of Antonio Pizzato to Brazil, coming from Veneto/Italy. Mr. Antonio Pizzato had been cultivating vines since his move to Brazil. In 1999, the Plínio Pizzato Family established PIZZATO Vinhas e Vinhos to add wine making to the existing cultivation of vines.
The members of the Family are responsible for the entire process that makes the wine a drink of unique identity, from the production of grapes to the production and marketing of wines, generating a differential of enthusiasm, dedication, personality and exclusivity translated into wine.
WIDELY SOLD IN THE BORDEAUX REGION OF FRANCE
The PIZZATO wines made with grapes from Vale dos Vinhedos, the first Brazilian Geographical Indication, have the philosophy of being concentrated, complex and with good ripening capacity.
They come from older vines, with low production per plant, allowing one to confirm that wines improve with maturation. Pizzato wines are so special that they are already widely sold in the Bordeaux region of France! Can you imagine?!
A WARM WELCOME
Our host, Pizzato himself, the oenologist and owner of the winery, receives us with a big smile and thus a warm welcome. Together with him we have a good talk about the winery, its processes and of course we taste some extraordinary wines. Pearls of the oenologist and as consequence addition to our portfolio!
After signing the contract, we get an extensive tour through the wine making plant and even through the adjacent vineyard.
